What are the common problems in PCB design of power supply circuit board

 

1. Power conversion efficiency. Conversion efficiency refers to the ratio of the output power of the power supply to the input power actually consumed. In practical applications, electric energy cannot be completely converted, and there will be a certain amount of energy consumption in the middle. No matter which circuit, there must be efficiency problems in power conversion.

 

2. Heat dissipation. If there is energy loss, heat will be generated; As the load becomes heavier, the power consumption of the power supply chip increases, because the heat distribution in the PCB power supply design is a problem that needs attention.

 

3. Power plane integrity design. To maintain the integrity of the power supply is to maintain the stable power supply of the power supply. In the actual system, there are always noises with different frequencies. Therefore, a low impedance power supply plane design is necessary.

 

4. Electromagnetic interference: switching power supply will produce switching noise during continuous switching on and off. If circuit inductance is not considered in the design, excessive return path will produce electromagnetic interference.
