FR4 / HIGH FREQUENCY PCB Material Types

PCB Material is divided into ordinary FR4 PCB sheet and high frequency PCB sheet

Generally ordinary FR4 sheet our company used is KB or Shengyi material

High frequency we used is Rogers, Taconic, Isola, Arlon, F4b, and so on

We are a middle and high PCB circuit board manufacturers

So the selection of material is middle high level

Fr4 pcb material:

FR4 material consists of a thin layer of copper foil laminated to one or both sides. By contrast, multi-layer PCBs consist of multiple layers of PCB material which are laminated together.

Fr4 material haven’t stable dielectric constant,generally it’s 4.2-4.8

So if your product have strict requirements in dielectric constant,fr4 material is not suitable.

The thickness from 0.05-3.5mm,this is conventional,if you need any thickness beyond the range,please contact us for the details

High frequency pcb material:

High frequency pcb have brand of Rogers , Taconic, Isola, Arlon etc.The dielectric constant from 2.2-10

High frequency material have stable DK value,so it is widely used in power divider,combiner,power amplifier,line amplifier,base station,RF antena,4G antenna, mainly used in the area of high technologies like communication device,Electronics,Aerospace,Military industry to meet our worldwide customers with high quality.

Rogers and Taconic brand are come from American

In China ,also have some high frequency material factory,the most popular is F4b,if you want to save cost,you can consider F4b material.

Flexible pcb material:

This is a laminate composed of polyimide and copper clad on both sides. It is known for excellent thermal, moisture, and insulation resistance. Pyralux AP is an extremely reliable material to use when creating single and multilayer flexible circuitry.
